A billboard—down the road from Crumbl’s headquarters—advertises Crumbl’s animal cruelty scandal.
Not too far from Crumbl’s headquarters, there’s a new billboard for the company—but it’s far from appetizing.
The billboard can be seen in Lindon, Utah, on I-15, right before Exit 275. There’s a caged hen on the right, visibly distressed. And on the left, over that familiar pink hue, there’s a prominent URL: CrumblCofounders.com
Crumbl has been in the middle of a national animal cruelty scandal for its refusal to commit to basic protections for animals in its supply chain. By committing to go cage-free like many other companies, including Dairy Queen and Krispy Kreme, Crumbl can spare egg-laying hens from the extreme suffering inherent to life in a battery cage.
Tens of thousands of consumers have joined The Humane League’s Crumbl campaign to share their support for higher animal welfare standards. As there has been no response from Crumbl’s co-founders about whether or not they would address this cruelty, escalation was the next step.
“The Humane League’s ad calls on Crumbl leaders to stop hiding behind colorful branding and sprinkles and finally commit to using cage-free eggs at all locations nationwide,” said Emily Raap, Senior Campaigns Lead at The Humane League.
