Melodi meets rescued animals for the first time.
This is Melodi's first time meeting animals who survived the horrors of factory farms and now get to live out the rest of their lives in peace at an animal sanctuary.
The animals she meets at Singer Sanctuary, including a pair of chickens named Thelma and Louis, have come so far in their journeys. One flock of hens arrived at Singer Sanctuary undernourished and missing feathers. But thanks to the care and compassion they've received at the rescue, they now look so much healthier and happier.
Meeting the flock of rescued hens, Melodi reflects, "They were so welcoming and so kind and gentle, and it literally felt like, you know, my cats at home."
