Tyler had never met animals who had been trapped on factory farms and survived the horrific traumas of industrialized animal agriculture.

"This was my first time meeting any animals in this capacity—like farm animals," she says.

The animals she meets at Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary, from Cherry Blossom the pig to Faith the cow to Dolly Parton the chicken, each have their own stories of survival—and sparkling personalities forged through hardship.
