Despite their remarkable abilities, the US chicken industry brutally kills billions of birds every year. From the moment they are born, chickens raised for meat live a life of fear and suffering.

They are treated as products—not the living, feeling individuals that they are—and are killed when they are just 6-7 weeks old.

Sometimes humans have trouble connecting to chickens because they don’t use vocalizations or facial expressions that we can easily relate to. And because most of us don’t get to spend time with chickens, we miss out on learning about their unique and lovable personalities.
