If you want to help animals, you’re in the right place. Get inspired, and get active.

In 2025, our fearless Changemakers are ready to keep building on the incredible progress they’ve made for farmed animals.
From raising awareness to raising the stakes, from movement-building to knowledge-building, these advocates are gearing up to take on the factory farming industry through corporate campaigns and legislative pressure. Through local and digital action. Through the kindness they’re showing to animals, their communities, and themselves.
Changemakers know the stakes. They know that in order to disrupt factory farming and end the abuse of animals raised for food, we need to go big. We need to hold bigger companies accountable. We need to build stronger connections across advocates. And we need to build more power as a movement so that animal protection is a mainstream issue. Through our local changemaker action teams, dedicated activists in dozens of states are building relationships and fostering connections among animal lovers to tackle corporate greed with eye-catching actions and community-building events in 2025.
Here are some of our resolutions to start the year strong:
-
For 2025, I want to build my team and recruit more leaders so that we can unite as a force to show corporations they cannot ignore us, and they must stop animal cruelty. (Jennifer, Baltimore, MD)
-
This year I want to be mindful that my advocacy is sustainable so that I can continue to help animals for years to come! (Alice, Morrisville, NC)
-
This year I want to make more time for digital actions, and also collaborate with other organizations that want to end animal exploitation. (Janani, NYC, NY)
-
My New Year's resolution is to spread awareness of animal cruelty at my university! (Aydin, Portland, OR)
-
I want to connect with more advocates and build momentum for change. I'm committed to stepping outside my comfort zone, knowing that my small discomforts pale in comparison to the suffering of animals on factory farms. (Alex, Berkeley, CA)
-
This year, I want to continue exploring animal advocacy from a variety of different angles to figure out how I can best fit in and contribute to the movement in the most impactful way possible. (Allen, NYC, NY)
-
My goal is that any local interested in helping animals will know they can find opportunities, training, and community with THL. (Parker, OC/LA, CA)
-
This year, I’m excited to see our team grow—not just in numbers, but in the creative ways we can engage our community around farmed animal protection. I’m looking forward to hosting regular social meetups, organizing impactful protests, and exploring fresh tactics to bring our message to more people in 2025. (Tessa, Charleston, SC)
-
My resolution for this year is to get more legislation passed to protect animals, including a fur and foie gras ban in my city. (Erica, Columbus, OH)
-
I want to connect with other local community members to work together in a more active way to help farm animals, find ways to be an effective a voice for them, and advocate for their welfare (Layne, Griswold, CT)
-
I want to initiate more school-based climate/factory farm/nutrition education where I work. (Kelly, Boston, MA)
-
I want to connect and work with local groups, politicians, and organizations to bring more plant-based options to the community. (Dipti, Tinton Falls, NJ)
-
I plan to do veg advocacy with restaurants in my neighborhood. I also will continue incorporating vegan themes in my college writing classes, and do protests at many corporate campaign targets. (Ann, Great Neck, NY)
-
I live in New York City where there are a lot of activism opportunities, but I spend summers in my home state of Maine, so I would like to help build the activist community in Maine. (Brian, NYC, NY)
-
I want to hone my activism skills by learning the specific steps involved in a bill's passage through my state legislative process. (Ellen, Seattle, WA)
-
I want my monthly digital action-taking virtual calls to grow by at least two more participants each month. (Melodi, Fullerton, CA)
-
This year, I’m aiming to be more consistently involved in improving conditions and treatment of hens. Specifically, my goals are to help organize and attend at least 10 protests, and to do at least one digital advocacy action a week. (Josh, Issaquah, WA)
-
I want to raise awareness via social media and other messaging platforms of the terrible suffering of caged egg-laying hens, and bring more folks in to lend their voices to help end this cruelty. Sharing THL's social media posts widely will help bring this issue to many who may be unaware—but care about it—and build up demand for change in the industry. (Deepthi, San Jose, CA)
-
This year, I hope to reinstate THL online actions as part of my weekly routine and to grow the reliable, core group of Indianapolis-based Changemakers. (Trent, Fishers, IN)
-
I want to build a stronger movement for animals by spending more time outside of my animal advocate bubble. I plan to listen more, ask more questions, expand my networks, and build connections through the values I may share with unlikely allies. (Beau, San Diego, CA)
