A: According to our best cost-effectiveness estimates, THL spends approximately 50 cents to spare one hen from a cage, addressing one of the cruelest practices in animal agriculture. This figure is derived by dividing the total cost of our US and global cage-free work during the 2015-2024 period, including allocated overhead, by the estimated number of hens impacted by the corporate cage-free commitments we secured during that same time period. This calculation reflects our work's historical efficiency, but does not necessarily guarantee future results.
